11/22/2019 releases of note

First off, I want to say Happy Birthday to my Brother.  I'm playing his playlist in Spotify, which features The Beatles, Glenn Miller, The Newsboys, Queen, Journey, Strong Bad and as of Veteran's Day weekend, Sabaton.  There is definitely some severe tonal shift, but that's kind of what makes it fun.

Not too many releases this week, the record companies seem to be winding down for the end of the year.  Considering how big this year was, I can't blame them for want to take the Holidays easier.

Jimi Hendrix-Songs For Groovy Children; The Fillmore East Concerts: A collection of four performances in two days, New Year's Eve 1969 and New Year's Day 1970 at the Fillmore East.  Released for the first time are performances of "Foxy Lady," "Fire" and "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)."  There are also multiple recordings of a personal favorite of mine, "Power of Soul."

Various Artists-Hannukah+: Religiously, I'm Protestant, but I consider Jewish people siblings in God.  I was delighted to discover "Ocho Kandelikas" on the Idina Menzel Christmas album this year as another Hannukah song and this album features songs by Jack Black and The Flaming Lips, as well as a few artists I'd like to try out.

Beatles Go Baroque: I just heard of this one yesterday.  It sounds like it will be the music of The Beatles rearranged into the style of classical music.  This has been done before, but is always nice to hear, and I'm looking forward to the arrangements.
