“Oh my cod, Marie, can
you believe it, we’re getting to team up with the woman herself, the kick-butt
Smash woman of Smash women, Samus ‘The Legend’ Aran!” exclaimed Callie, the
Squid Sister turned Mii Brawler excitedly looking at the decided matches.
“Ease off, Callie, I
don’t think Zelda would like you slobbering all over her wife.” Smirked Marie.
“I know, but she’s
Samus! She’s been racking up KOs like
nobody’s business! She never backs down
from a fight! She’s—oh my cod, she’s right
there!” screamed Callie.
“Hey, Callie and Marie,
you guys adjusting to your Mii Fighter selves just fine?” asked Samus.
“I’m okay.” Said Marie.
“Absolutely fine, Ms.
Aran, it is SUCH an honor to fight by your side today!” smiled Callie.
“Heh, don’t get too
overexcited, you’ll need your energy for the match.” Smirked Samus. She looked at the other team of three. “I’ve been Edeleth’s teammate quite a few
times, she won’t just roll over and lose.” Samus added. She waved lightly to her friend, who waved
back.
“So are you Byleth or Edelgard?”
asked Palutena, one of Edeleth’s teammates.
“Geh! Palutena, don’t DO that!” hissed Edeleth.
“What’s wrong, you look
like you’ve seen a ghost!” gasped Palutena.
“You are not far off.”
Muttered Edeleth. “You remind me of that
theocratic dictator we had to off in our history, she was also a tall woman
with a gold crown and green hair. She
even turned into a giant white dragon she called ‘The Immaculate One.’”
“Oh my! Well, I assure you, this is my true form, and
I allow quite a degree of autonomy.” Stated Palutena. “I’ll let you two handle your own affairs in
this match.”
“Thank you, Palutena.”
Smiled Edeleth.
“I am very thankful to
have this opportunity to learn from you more experienced Smash Sisters!” said
MinMin.
“Aren’t you the ARMS
Women’s Champion?” asked Palutena.
“ARMS is a different
sort of combat than this.” Replied MinMin.
“Just focus on what you
do best and try to watch our backs.” Instructed Edeleth.
“Xie Xie, Byleth.”
Replied MinMin.
“Eh, actually,
I’m…never mind, it’s too complicated and we’ve got too little time.” Muttered
Edeleth. The six were teleported to
Final Destination, Samus’ team on the left, Edeleth’s team on the right.
“Ready…GO!” they all
shouted. Callie bolted at the team, only
for Palutena to clobber her with her wings.
Samus hit Edeleth with her paralyzer as she approached, Marie running
after Edeleth, only to get sucker-punched by MinMin’s Megawatt fist. Edeleth used her lance on Samus, knocking her
back as Callie ran in and suplexed Edeleth.
She charged up her kick.
“I’ll show you two!”
She declared. “Are you watching,
Samus?” Samus got up.
“Callie, no, you’re
telegraphing!” Samus warned.
“Wha?” asked Callie,
only to get hit by MinMin’s Megawatt fist, sending her back to Samus.
“Don’t ever do a slow
move when multiple opponents who can see it coming are too far for it to take
effect, they’ll see it—” began Samus.
“Amyr!” yelled Edeleth,
defeating Samus.
“Samus…” gulped
Callie. “Why you, I’m going to avenge
her!” Callie dashed forward, trying to
do a suplex move. Edeleth saw this
coming and used her lance move, striking first and defeating Callie. Marie gulped at the three as they approached. She used her forward smash bursts, knocking
Edeleth back, but then Palutena used her wings as MinMin punched with her
Megawatt arm. Both struck Marie,
defeating her. The three women posed
victoriously.
“Callie, you cost us
the match.” Grumbled Samus back in the Arena.
“If I was just a little
faster, I could’ve avenged you!” replied Callie.
“The suplex isn’t a
knockout move, furthermore, you left yourself open with your kick, which caused
me to pause to explain it to you, which is why I got knocked out!” stated Samus
angrily. “Don’t telegraph your moves,
then your enemy can avoid them, then strike while you’re vulnerable!”
“But it’s powerful!”
replied Callie.
“Look, if you fight
enough matches, you’ll know when the timing’s right to use moves like that.”
Smiled Samus. “We both need to work at
keeping our heads in the match, if you’re willing to, we can do another team
match.”
“Okay, but can I rest
first? Those ladies pack a wallop.”
Grunted Callie.
“Sure, I could use a
rest myself.” Smiled Samus. They sat
down, watching a few matches, getting ready to work on Callie’s Smash tactics.
The End
