It's too easy to spiral over politics, so I will try to avoid doing that. Instead, I will say it's been some time since I saw my counselor and I'm feeling the weight of the world right now. It feels like homophobes are infesting the online discourse of Brandi Carlile to try to turn people against this beacon of lesbian light as well as Elton John so the LGBTQ+ community will be easier for the right wing to crush. There is a lot of subtle white/straight supremacy that even progressive Democrats practice, like gender reveal parties, which subtly say you're not ready or willing to have a trans child. Abusers go free thanks to the system while their victims get blamed for their crimes, women are getting accused of abuse and having to live with their lives ruined while the men become heroes. Thanksgiving is honestly an anti-Native American holiday, celebrating the beginnings of British, French and German terrorists murdering the indigenous with diseased blankets and war in a bloodbath worse than the Holocaust. And though I tried to avoid it, let's not forget someone is putting as many foxes in as many henhouses as he possibly can in the name of profiting the 1% of this nation that is wealthy and agrees with him. This administration will destroy America and Cascadia will be real, if he doesn't destroy us all with nukes first.
On the plus side, I played video games every day this week, got a Godzilla 1984 Funko Pop (one of my more-favorite entries in the series, I really like the scene where Godzilla grabs the reactor from the nuclear plant) and watched some episodes of fan-favorite Ultra series show Ultraman Gaia, seeing a three-woman fighter jet squadron, Gaia battle his rival, Ultraman Agul and Gaia and Agul fight monsters in the United States (Scottsdale, Arizona, to be exact, where the San Francisco Giants hold Spring Training) and Japan, respectively. I also took a picture of my Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn Christmas-themed Funko Pops, which I've had since September, but not taken out of the box until yesterday because I decided to start celebrating Christmas this week after Veterans/Armistice Day. Also, Yuri Lowenthal joined BlueSky proper and liked a status, or "skeet," where I mentioned missing him, Tara Platt and Dorothy Fahn. Today, I'm probably going to go to a ranch with my friend, Alan, and spend some time playing older Nintendo games because it is Shigeru Miyamoto's Birthday. Hold onto some hope.
