Petra:
The
Princess of Brigid, a Vassal state to Adrestia.
Petra ultimately becomes Queen after fighting the Immaculate One
(Rhea/Seiros) and helping her Grandfather when Brigid is attack. She can read and write English almost
perfectly, speaking is more difficult for her, however, and she will get idioms
wrong or put excess words in a sentence, like “I have understanding,” or “I
have gratitude for your kindness” or “I have the success.” She and Edelgard are good friends, Edelgard
was even overprotective of her when she first arrived, fearing something may
happen to Petra that would require her to explain a lapse in watchfulness to
the people of Brigid. Petra responded
she could take care of herself and that Edelgard should prioritize her own
ambitions, “it is difficult to hit two birds with one arrow.” Edelgard followed her advice and five years
later, Petra pranked Edelgard with an arrow apparently showing she had done
just that. After a discussion of their
mutual bond and similarities as leaders, Edelgard called it, “a cheap trick,
but inarguably funny.” The two
double-date with their wives now that the war is over, spending joyful times at
dinners and theaters in Brigid or the Adrestian Capital.
Dorothea:
An opera
singer who wore a Freddie Mercury/Robin Zander/Rob Halford-type cap in her
younger days, Dorothea is a skilled mage who snuck into Garreg Mach solely so
she could learn from Manuela, a famous Opera singer who was teaching
there. She was also there for romance,
but ultimately ended up in a war. While
Byleth brough Manuela into the Black Eagles before they split off from Garreg
Mach Monastery, Dorothea was saddened by fighting the war, having to fight many
former friends over ideals. However, she
did find love. While Dorothea had toyed
with Ferdinand and Edelgard as potential partners, she ultimately chose Petra,
finding her Brigid ways fascinating and awakening her desire to explore a
foreign culture and make Brigid more prominent in the Adrestian Empire. She also made an autobiographical opera about
Edelgard, and sees her from time to time when Petra, Edelgard, Byleth and herself
have double-dates.
Leonie:
A
mercenary from the Leicester Alliance, Leonie joined the Black Eagles after her
mentor, Jeralt, was killed by Kronya, one of Those Who Slither In The
Dark. She rides on a horse and uses a
spear, growing a ponytail over the five years Byleth was knocked out. Leonie is dedicated to Byleth since their
both lost their father figure, Byleth’s actual father. Her next mentor ended up being Shamir, a former
Knight of Seiros that Byleth also recruited.
Shamir’s experience as a mercenary was invaluable to Leonie, helping her
in battle and helping her gain confidence in her ability to fight. After the end of the war, the two joined
forces and would help the Adrestian military for a small price, giving a
discount to be in the service of their friends Byleth and Edelgard. Leonie also inherited Jeralt’s taste for
whiskey and was often seen at bars when not on duty, running up large bills.
Shamir:
Formerly
a Knight of Seiros, Shamir was recruited to the Black Eagles by Byleth. She bonded with the students and became a bit
of a secondary instructor to some, helping Bernadetta improve her bow skills
and teaching Leonie how to be a better mercenary. She had no qualms against going against her former
employers, though she regretted that her friend Catherine was still a Knight of
Seiros. Catherine did survive the war,
though, but is now in prison for her attempts on the lives of the Black Eagle
Strike Force. Shamir will visit her when
not working with Leonie, and a woman fitting her description will rob selfish
nobles and give the money to the poor.
Shamir continues to work as Leonie’s mentor, the two aren’t often seen
apart.
Annette:

A mage
from the Kingdom of Faerghus, Annette attempted to challenged the Black Eagle
Strike Force with her magic as they beat of Rhea/Seiros/The Immaculate
One. However, she was too slow and
arrived only in time to see the corrupt dragon who had made an unjust society
and maintained it for 1,200 years perish from Edelgard’s Amyr axe and Byleth’s Sword
of the Creator. Byleth then fainted,
then her hair and eyes returned to blue as Edelgard sobbed over her body. She stepped forward as the Empress and Future
Queen of Fodlan arose, surrendering.
Annette spent three months in prison, but was a big hit in the kitchen,
especially because she was sing as she cooked.
Edelgard visited one day and tried Annette’s food, waiving her sentence
and granting her a restaurant in her hometown in Faerghus provided she didn’t
attempt rebellion. Annette agreed, and
today, Annette’s Steaks and Cakes Place is one of the most popular restaurants
in Fodlan. Annette keeps her magic
skills sharp by helping Lucina, Edelgard and many others help the cross-dimensional
group from Askr keep the peace.
Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long:
A quick
and noble heroine, Blake stands apart from most in that she is a faunus, a
human with animal traits. In her case,
it’s a pair of cat ears atop her head. When
she was younger, she joined the radical faunus group White Fang, seduced into
it by Adam Taurus. However, Adam proved
to be ruthless, killing even the innocent.
When Blake complained, he demanded loyalty from her, beating it into her
by threatening to strangle her. Blake
ultimately left the White Fang, adorned a bow to hide her ears and joined
Beacon Academy. There, she became part
of Team RWBY.
Yang Xiao Long is a tough-as-nails
pugilist who will charge into battle recklessly, but has more than enough
firepower to back it up. She wears gauntlets
that fire as she punches, making her one of the few people who can punch a bird
out of the sky. Yang was very overprotective
of her younger half-sister, Ruby, but as Ruby grows, Yang has learned to let
Ruby make her own decisions and chose to disagree when she feels like it. Yang joined Team RWBY at Beacon Academy with Blake shortly after properly meeting her. Yang ultimately struck up a strong friendship
with Blake, the two’s compassion for each other ultimately blossoming into love
after Yang lost her arm defending Blake from Adam and Blake ran away, depressed
to see Yang hurt for her problems.
Meanwhile, Yang gained a prosthetic she painted gold and black. The two returned to each other and when Adam
attacked Blake again, Yang arrived in time for the two to finally defeat him
for good. They were not pleased with
taking another’s life, and while they were free to be a same-gender couple and
fight as strong and free as ever (and act like cute and silly people in public),
they ultimately told Robyn about General Ironwood’s Satellite plan, an action
which made General Ironwood declare them traitors against Atlas and order their
arrest/execution. Now it is unclear if
they will survive this.
However, in the world of Smash and
Blazblue, Blake fights ferociously with her partner Yang and sometimes on her
own, the two glad to be together after the Hell they’ve been through to get
this far. They will team up with Samus
and Zelda to fight four-on-four battles, because no one else from their home
universe has chosen to be a Mii Fighter.
However, Yang and Blake prefer to be in two-on-two battles, but they do
love Samus and Zelda’s company for meals and video games.
