Contentment, finding it is tough.

Well, this year has been feeling better than before, I've gotten to see 1964 the Tribute at last and will see three Mariner games, hopefully featuring Raul Ibanez and Michael Morse. I will also be spending time with my Dad in July. However, the title is referring to the fact that despite moving out, buying tickets to three Mariner games, making plans to see a heavy metal tribute in my hometown, a Bad Company/Lynyrd Skynyrd concert down South by Seattle AND a Sammy Hagar show over by Marysville (and I'm convinced more artists are likely to announce themselves before the month of May is out), I get annoyed that I don't think I can see Robert Plant and Tony Iommi perform over at the Gorge Amphitheatre over East by Ellensberg. Why? I have more than I could ask for, I'm on my own, I have a good church, good friends, good family, good plans, I don't need this classic English Bluesman or the original heavy metal band to be happy, so why do I act like I do, clawing at friends and sort-of friends as though if I don't get this, I will drown and die unsatisfied. Maybe it's that they're old. Maybe it's that the world is fallen. Or maybe it's just the same old anxiety.

Waiting on the Hot Stove

Hi guys. Well, I've been hoping for the Mariners to make a move soon, this slow process seems almost agonizing. I know I want the M's to sign Nick Swisher, but knowing Zdurencik, he's probably going to go with someone obscure and not so good. I'm kind of sick that the M's can't be big players like that. Next year, I plan to see five Mariner games, one game with the Pirates, one game with the Indians, one game with the Phillies and quite a few minor league games. Here's hoping the teams I see at home get what they want.

Hot Stove and Video-type games

Been a while, man I need to update this more. Anyway, Hot Stove season starts a few days ago, and I'm looking forward to the potential for increased offense with the Mariners. I don't want to see them going after guys who have 0 All-Star game appearances and .269 career averages, I'm hoping the M's will get Nick Swisher. I know most hope for Hamilton, but I feel like if we get Josh Hamilton, there will be loud aggression on the internet for his drinking problem. Julio Mateo beat his wife, so the M's traded him to the Phillies, and Josh Lueke plead no contest to a rape charge and was sent to the Rays. If Josh Hamilton cannot conquer his addiction permanently, the Mariners will not keep him and the fans will be irate that they are giving him millions of dollars for beer. Swisher has no known history of drug use/abuse, so he should be fine. I imagine some people would like to see Ichiro return, but, sadly, I feel that isn't going to happen. It would be nice to see Ichiro close out his career as a Mariner, but right now, the Mariners need a big home run hitter, not a singles hitter, someone who can help instruct the kids how to play the game, not speak mostly in a foreign language and do things their own way. I predict Ichiro will be with the Yankees for at least 5 more years. Next week, I plan to see Wreck-it Ralph, a movie based on video games with cameos of Bowser, a ghost from Pacman and several Street Fighter characters. Hopefully this will lead to some good partnerships between the video game and film industry, thus far, only Final Fantasy VII Advent Children still seems semi-magical to me, and that's more for the well-animated fight scenes. Of course, I'd like to MAKE movies based on Super Mario RPG, Super Paper Mario and Super Smash Bros. Brawl's subspace emissary, but I don't know how to get a job with Nintendo, and most of my personal choices for the characters (Bowser being a comedic oaf all the time, Samus and Zelda being lesbians, Tabuu being the Nintendo world's equivalent of Lucifer) might rub Nintendo the wrong way, plus I feel like I'd try to force in too many third-party characters that Nintendo wouldn't want. Also, whenever it comes to spin-offs, whatever I write usually doesn't have a lot of action. Anyway, here's to better and brighter things in the future. Vote yes on Referendum 74.

Getting back to the basics

Well, it's been a while. I had almost given up on this since I regret all the rants I made. I don't want the Mariners to be sold to Orleans, I want to see them for many years to come. Yes, I have been incredibly depressed from Ichiro's trade, but the team is doing well, so I can't complain too much, heck, El Rey Felix Hernandez pitched a perfect game! However, I have gotten some fears since my negative prediction of Ichiro came true, namely, that my other negative predictions will come true, like Nintendo going bankrupt from no one buying the 3DS or the Wii U, or that Romney will win the election, which will lead to him destroying gay rights "in the name of Jesus" (if you REALLY knew Jesus, you wouldn't destroy gay rights), which will lead to an anti-Christian revolt led by the antichrist, which leads to ALL Christians going to an Auschwitz and the Gulag would be preferable type of prison system for seven years. But let's talk about something else, shall we? After a reread of my last version of my story inspired by the Cyrus family, I've decided to revise it in my free time and post chapters here. I will also post my memoirs, and the goal is that either or all of these things will one day become a book. I don't know when the first one will be up, I've been overly requested by an art site to write stories for fellow users there. Plus, there's a lot of other things going on in my life.

Someone told me how to make a petition.

Nintendo, Save Jill Valentine and others from Capcom!

I read this today. [link]
This is depressing, I've not seen such a violation of human rights by video game companies...ever!  If such a thing is happening, if Capcom is really saying "you're having a heart attack, okay, five minute break, then back to work!" and if they're heading for bankruptcy, I urge someone to make a petition urging Nintendo to step in and bring Resident Evil into their fold.  The stories are gripping, the characters are lovable (I hate Wesker, though, but that's because he's an effective villain with no regard for human life...maybe the programmers were sending an SOS?) and I've written enough, played enough, read enough and enjoyed enough to feel that Jill Valentine would fit right in with Princess Peach, Zelda and Samus Aran.  I even tried to trend on Twitter that Jill Valentine should be in Super Smash Bros. 4.  I'd also like Felicia in some Nintendo games, and if Nintendo gets her, that'd be sure to happen, but one thing at a time.  Hopefully, people can get active or give me ideas to get active, I don't know how to start an online petition.
