The Beginning of The End

 Warning; this is a political rant to get this out of my system.  Don't read if you're not a Democrat or are offended by such stuff.

This country is in Hell.  We've ceded power to a self-absorbed dictator who wants to commit genocide and mass murder, and will.  The election is going to be a wash; it's just one last dog and pony show before we lose the right to vote, freedom of speech and freedom or expression for good.  And it's ALL OUR FAULT!  Over 50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said this:

I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice [...]

We are still living that.  White, Straight, Americans are lazy, stupid, spoiled and selfish.  They don't want COVID cured, they don't want to do the legwork to deal with Global Warming and prevent more Hurricanes and Wildfires, and creation of new diseases like COVID.  They just want someone to tell them things are good.  And right now, what I see in Politics is this.

Biden: It'll take everybody working hard for a very long time, but we can get America back on track.

Trump: I GUARANTEE WHITE STRAIGHT RICH PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO EAT FREE ICE CREAM AND PIZZA FOR EVERY MEAL!

So, America picks the promises of a man whose words are worth less than his excrement, chooses not to do the hard work, chooses to abandon responsibility rather than accept it and will vote Trump back in in a landslide.

Furthermore, even if Biden wins, he's only going to stay one term before the Republicanazis vote in another dictator attempting to turn America into a theocracy where they control how God is interpreted, creating a Church of Conservativism where you must agree with everything they say or die.  The Nazis don't want to play the Democracy game anymore and America forgets too quickly.  Americans don't want to fight for Civil Rights, the right to not be shot by police, the right to have access to healthcare for your entire family, the right for your family to visit you in the hospital, the right to be legally married and the right to not be fired because of your skin color or orientation.  

Americans just want the problem to shut up and go away so they can get back to watching the NFL, criticizing the players who protest such things, gluttonously over-consume food and drugs that shorten their live-span and pretend everything is good.  This is the first major time our apathy has bitten us in the rear end, and the only reason Biden may win is because Americans want a new messiah to do the work for them.

Regardless of who wins, DO THE LEGWORK.  BE THE MIRACLE.
