Warning, Sports and Religion rant

 I got in a bad head space yesterday because of some angry things I saw online, a tweet from a Twitter account I used to respect and the Mariners losing the game debut Kelenic and Gilbert, almost getting no-hit in the process and probably setting a record for most hitless innings in a row at your home stadium.  Here's what I wrote to burn off the anger:

I’m depressed.  The Mariners suck and are the worst franchise in the history of professional sports, ever since the Olympics in Ancient Greece, no one has failed as often or consistently as they have.  Everything they do brings false promise and gives away the good.  They should leave Seattle, I don’t want the stench of “suck” permeating the already most-despised metropolis in the nation.  Send them to New Orleans or North Carolina, anywhere over 800 miles from here, heck, send them to Alaska.  I’m done with sports and the continuation of failed promises and “suck” and heel turns.  The Mariners franchise is cursed and will never win another game again.  Disband the team or move them, I don’t care, just get them the fuck out of here!  Convert T-Mobile Park into a homeless shelter, you spineless wimps!  You could remove all the homeless from the streets that way, but you spent the money on a sports franchise that will never win a single game again and shouldn’t even be here!  They only exist because we pettily whined to MLB, they should’ve given the 1977 expansion to somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE!  People don’t know what Queensryche is or who Ann and Nancy Wilson are or that Duff McKagan is from here or who Geoff Tate is or anything other than we spawned grunge and dead lead singers!  Jimi Hendrix is dead, Kurt Cobain is dead, Layne Staley is dead and Chris Cornell is dead!  We should be known for all our music, including Chris and Duff’s daughters, Toni and Grace!  Not these failed sports teams who can’t do anything worth a darn and are the laughingstock of all of professional sports worldwide!  Cancel the Kraken, Flush the Seahawks, remove the Sounders and get rid of the Mariners already!  Seattle should be Music City, USA, NOT NASHVILLE!  Nashville is a dirty city full of liars, hypocrites, control freaks and psychopaths who claim every racist and homophobic action they do is for Jesus, caking the cross in mud until you can’t even see it anymore!  Give no money to Tennessee, Georgia or North Carolina-based business, we’ll do what they understand, get rid of their ******* profits!

 

Earlier in the day I saw an attack post from the CS Lewis Twitter, showing “9 Celebrities Who Lost their Faith.”  They are playing with fire and effectively asking people to create hate tweets to “shame them back into the Faith.”  Some of the 9 are far more compassionate than the so-called “Christians” who would do that.  Did Jesus ever drag someone up before a crowd, declare their crimes and let them get mauled?  NO!  I unfollowed them, a harsh, cruel cut.  The right-wing Neo-Nazis are using any and every name they can to enforce their war on thought, keeping people under control.  That’s not Jesus, that’s Hitler, that’s Stalin, and I am sick of seeing this from every so-called “Christian” business, organization or group.  If America decides to persecute Christianity, it will be because we showed them we are unstable, dangerous, murderous psychopaths who shouldn’t be allowed freedom of speech or the right to bear arms.  I will pray we can turn the tide, but I don’t think my prayers will ever be enough.
