I was looking through my archives on DeviantArt and found this old gem from late 2019. Here are some reference pictures for the characters involved:
Yang and Blake sat in the Italian restaurant across the table from Saphron and Terra, catching up with the couple some time later.
"That's a nice new haircut, Blake." commented Terra.
"Thanks, I got it cut this short to remind me of my Mom." smiled Blake.
"I also like your new outfit, Yang." added Terra.
"Yeah, I really like the fuzzy collar, keeps me warm, though not as warm as Blake does." smiled Yang. Blake pushed the top of her head against Yang's shoulder affectionately. Yang smiled and patted Blake's head. "So, Adrian's growing older." added Yang.
"Yeah, I hope he's not going to worry too much about Grimm." said Saphron.
"Well, he could choose to be a Grimm hunter, like we are." suggested Blake.
"Sweet, he'd be like his Uncle Jaune!" smiled Saphron.
Yang laughed and high-fived her.
"I don't know, I'd be too worried about his
safety." replied Terra, stirring the ice in her cup with her straw.
"Don't your parents worry about you, Blake?"
"No, they have risks in their lives, too." said
Blake. "You work with relay towers, that takes some degree of
risk."
"If my work goes wrong, we could face an outage or
worse." Terra admitted.
"That's what being a huntress is like, if we fail,
people suffer as well." said Yang. "That's why we have
partners. Of course, not every partners fall in love." She
pecked Blake's cheek. Terra, as though jealous, pecked Saphron's in response.
A large pepperoni pizza was then delivered to the two couples. "Ah,
sweet, I'm starved." smiled Yang.
"Don't worry about paying for it, I got it
covered." smiled back Terra. Blake nodded her appreciation as she
chewed her first bite, the two couples enjoying their first double date which
would hopefully spark a good, long tradition as they carried similar
conversations into the night.
The End
