Current Music Outlook

I’ve shared playlists to Twitter and Facebook of music I’ve liked from the 1960s and 1972 to 1977, one per year for that period.  I don’t know if anyone other than me cares/pays attention to this, but I really like making and cultivating/curating these playlists, updating them rarely when I find new music I like that was released in the year in question.  I have more for 1978-1981 which I aim to post, and am working on two on my laptop that are aiming to be 86 songs from 1986 or 1987, celebrating my brother and his wife and 89 songs from 1989.  His is going much easier than mine since I have two years to chose from, I have had to pick Billboard successes and Hits according to Spotify just to get up to 63, I’m not looking forward to all the albums I’ll probably have to listen to in full to determine the good songs.   There is also one from 1992 that has a lot of grunge, Billy Ray Cyrus and metal that was released around that time, I pretty much did it to get a sense of the musical world when Billy Ray Cyrus debuted.  The answer; Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Ozzy was considering retirement and Freddie Mercury just died.  I also have favorite Playlists from 2016-present, they got considerably bigger after I got Spotify because I was able to listen to more stuff.  Starting next year, I will not make those playlists until the start of September, because that’s when you notice what’s meant the most to you over the whole year.
