I wrote this yesterday (which was coincidentally, RWBY character Blake's Birthday) and I think it's a solid crossover. It's not in canon with my other stuff and it was inspired by the upcoming Justice League and RWBY crossover.
The six warrior women exited the
portal from Askr, arriving in a small town.
“I don’t like this, where are we again?” asked Byleth of Lucina. As a tactician, she knew from experience
enemies could use innocent bystanders as shields from attacks.
“Alfonse and Sharena said it was a
new portal to a completely new realm.” Replied Lucina. Edelgard and Petra readied their weapons
while Annette’s hands sparked with magic and Sakura stood ready to heal any
damage. Petra then smelled something and
pressed her ear to the road.
“What is it, Petra?” asked Edelgard.
“It smells of death, and it sounds
like several dark beasts running this way!” she replied. Sakura gulped in fear.
“Could this be an alternate Fodlan,
with crests out of control, making more dark beasts?” asked Edelgard.
“It’s a possibility.” Replied
Byleth.
“I hope it’s nobody we know.” Said
Annette. Edelgard nodded, she had fought
herself and alternate versions of her friends in her battles for Askr, it was
never fun to cut down someone you had feelings for. However, as the horde approached, it was
clear they were not black beasts or dark beasts at all, but something the six
had never seen before.
They resembled skeletal wolves and
gryphons of legend, with piercing red eyes and blackness filling in where
muscle and organs would be. These
creatures were nightmarish distortions of animals, and there seemed to be no
end to them approaching the six.
“Wh-what are they?” asked Edelgard.
“I-I don’t know.” Replied Byleth.
“Even you don’t know them?” asked
Annette.
“Take hold of your courage, there
are bystanders in this village that need protection!” ordered Lucina. The others nodded, charging with her at the
monsters. Edelgard swung her axe as
Byleth slashed her blade, the Empress and Queen of Fodlan fighting mightily back-to-back,
slaying many of the monsters. Lucina
slashed more with her Falchion, grunting with effort as she slashed and
stabbed. Annette cast fire spells as
quickly as she could, Petra defending her as best as possible with her
blade. Whenever they were bitten or
slashed, Sakura held up her staff, healing their wounds. However, it was quickly obvious the monsters
were too numerous.
“I…don’t think…I can…keep up!”
gasped Annette. Petra growled as she
stabbed the wolf trying to bite Annette, slicing it dead, then kicking one
behind her. She panted wearily afterward. Edelgard swung her axe, splitting a gryphon,
panting heavily afterwards as Byleth also panted, wearily slashing at an
incoming wolf, which tackled her.
Edelgard slashed the wolf apart, panting wearily afterward, letting
Byleth take her hand as she tried to get up.
Lucina slashed apart a wolf and a gryphon before stabbing a gryphon
through its neck, only for another to fly in and knock her over with a
swipe. Lucina lay there, panting, her
legs feeling like gelatin.
“Sakura…” she panted. Sakura wearily raised her staff, falling over
with exhaustion.
“I don’t think…I can do it…anymore…”
she panted. Edelgard and Byleth held
each other’s hand, bowing their heads in exhaustion, when they heard sounds
like the weapons Reginn possessed on her mechanical “horse.” A red blur descended on the battlefield, it
was a young woman with reddish-brown hair, silver eyes and a red cape, wielding
a scythe. She swung it into the horde,
effortlessly eliminating several monsters.
Edelgard and Byleth were shocked as the other women got up. A giant knight made of ice suddenly appeared,
swinging its blade into the horde, sending the monsters flying to their
demise. A woman in purple, white and
black with cat ears and a bob haircut jumped in and tossed a weapon on a rope
into the air, where it was caught by a blonde with purple eyes, a brown
overcoat and a yellow and black arm. The
cat-woman swung the blonde around like a hammer throw, the blonde releasing,
her hair glowing bright yellow as she punched through the hordes furiously,
eliminating the rest of them. The four
then stood before the six, the red one throwing up a peace sign with a big
smile.
“Ruby, you always got to act like a
dork?” asked a white-haired woman in blue.
“C’mon, Weiss, you know me. I always love to celebrate!” Ruby shouted.
“Celebrations are fine, little sis,
but I like being more laid back these days.” Said the blonde, laying her yellow
arm on the cat-woman.
“When we’re not alone in the
bedroom, that is.” Said the cat-woman.
“Well, you rubbed off on me, I just
need a cup of coffee and you, that’s my reward.” Replied the blonde. Byleth smirked at Edelgard, who chuckled a
bit.
“Um, we’re from the Order of Heroes
of the Kingdom of Askr.” Said Lucina.
“My name is Lucina, these are Edelgard, Byleth, Petra, Annette and
Sakura. May I ask who you are?”
“Askr? Never heard of that kingdom.” Muttered Weiss.
“We’re Team RWBY, I’m Ruby, this is
Weiss, that’s Blake and my big sister Yang.” Smiled Ruby. “We go around Remnant and fight Grimm and the
forces of Salem.”
“Grimm, Salem?” asked Byleth,
confused.
“Those things we rescued you from
were Grimm. They come from Salem, an
immortal dark witch who seeks to destroy Remnant.” Replied Blake.
“I see.” Stated Edelgard. “We can help you with your battle, if you
want us to. Um, by the way, Blake, is
it?”
“Yes. You sound familiar, have we met?” asked
Blake.
“Not to my knowledge.” Replied
Edelgard. “But I have a question of my
own, you’re a couple with the blonde, Yang, right?”
“You can tell?” asked Blake.
“My wife is Byleth, here. If anyone gives you trouble for loving a
woman, know you have woman friends who also love women.” Replied Edelgard.
“Thanks. I do have Ilia, Saphron and Terra to lean on
already, but another pair of friends is welcome.” Smiled Blake. Edelgard smiled back.
“While this is nice, we probably
should head back to Askr.” Stated Lucina.
“We’re always glad to find friends in other realms.”
“Sounds good. See you later!” smiled Ruby. The six heroines went back through the
portal. Meanwhile, a small crow Grimm
had seen the whole thing, Salem watching through the crow’s eyes.
“Hmm, six new heroines? Perhaps I should send someone to visit this
Askr and see if someone can become a useful pawn to me…” she muttered to herself.
The End?
