I missed Washington State Summer Con last weekend, but hopefully I'll get another chance to meet-and-greet Abby Trott and Colleen Clinkenbeard. At this point, though, I have decided to block Twitter again because all I can think about when I tweet are idiotic responses on a different plane of thought from mine, one where the Founding Fathers and the 12 apostles are one and the same, one where Jesus, George Washington and Donald Trump are all the same person and where the entire LGBTQ+ community are just confused straight people headed for hellfire rained down from the clouds. It is due to this I have difficulty talking to the middle ground or even believing it exists, because these people run the entire state governments of Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Idaho, at least. I visit a few times a day to see what the people I've subscribed to have said, but it's almost all Dawn M. Bennett and Sarah McKnight right now, which leads me to believe most voice actors either found a place that isn't BlueSky or quit Social Media altogether.
I can't say I blame them, I'm sticking with BlueSky due to its lack of tension and Facebook because my family, Church and High School friends are there. I honestly stopped reading non-subscription tweets a long time ago and I don't imagine that will improve, if anything, I expect it to drop to once a day, then once every other day if I decide to blog/Facebook/BlueSky more about stuff that happened on Twitter.
In all honesty, I hear the Switch is coming to an end next year, and I plan on getting The Legend of Zelda; Echoes of Wisdom, Fairy Tail 2 and Metroid Prime 4 and once I beat those, the games I'm currently playing and Final Fantasy VII (and possibly the easy mode of Metroid Dread), I kind of want to semi-retire from video games and social media; withdraw to Facebook and only play fighting games because nothing new will come out and I can't ask anyone to buy a system they likely can't afford for a Christmas/Birthday present. With that will come the end of going to conventions, because the voice actors will have new projects they want to focus on and I will be stuck with the old, plus I don't want to move forward in gaming anymore. I want to start moving on from video games to more of a focus on baseball and music, because those require less effort on my part to entertain me and I don't swear when things go wrong, just freeze up and say nothing. I shouldn't be swearing, anyway. Here's to a more relaxed future.
